Blood on the mansion 2F Main Hall walls
Interesting, yes? This can be found on any of the original versions of Resident Evil 1 on the wooden walls right where you climb up the steps to get to the mansion 2F in the main hall. It's surprising how many times we passed by there not even thinking or looking and blood lines the walls. In a place where you never encounter a single enemy (unless you open the front door, you dummy) we wonder who or what could've made the giant mess. Next time you're in the Spencer Estate, take some time to smell the roses and enjoy the scenery. Never know what you'll end up spotting.

Paul Anderon's hate of Leon Scott Kennedy
Most of you probably don't know this, unless you are an avid collector of Resident Evil miscellaneous items. You might remember that newspaper hanging on the board in the early scenes of Resident Evil: Apocalypse where Jill Valentine has been suspended. I bet you've probably never really found out why she was suspended, either. To delve deeper, we got our hands on one of the copies of Raccoon City Times newspapers from the movie and dug into the article. According to Paul Anderson's interpretation of back history for Jill Valentine, she and partner Leon S. Kennedy were R.P.D. officers and after an accident gone wrong, Leon Kennedy died. Valentine was partly to blame for the accident and was then suspended from the force. Under normal circumstances you'd think this was all made up, but all you must do is read the fine print! This coming from the man who directed the whole movie, we aren't surprised.

The mouse known as D. I. J.
In the midst of playing Resident Evil: Code Veronica you might've come across a diary written by a man who can only be identified as D. I. J. We were all left scratching our heads as we read the entrees, left dumbfounded and thinking back from the beginning of the game and pondering who exactly could've been following you the entire time, but left out of the spotlight. It isn't until you open a particular locker at the Antarctic Base where you see a random mouse jump out and fly at you. He then scurries off like normal. You don't think anything about that moment until the end of the game when you realize what exactly happens in full circle. Entrees like "I turned around to find myself looking at the woman in red" and "I was almost crushed by a metal shutter" are some of the hints you can think back on and remember seeing a little innocent mouse scurrying around.

Rebecca Chambers basketball photograph
This easter egg also comes from Resident Evil 2 and in the S.T.A.R.S. office in the second floor hallway. Upon inspecting the desk a first time, you'll simply get a message about how it has been left a mess and somebody must have searched it pretty good for something. Keep searching the desk and after about fifty attempts you will finally come away with a roll of film for your efforts! Take the film down to the photography development room and you'll get a picture of S.T.A.R.S. Bravo Team medic Rebecca Chambers in a basketball uniform and holding a basketball. Hmm, a pretty random thing to find in a desk but that's what easter eggs are for, right?

[ Apparently this is the only existing complete picture on the internet, because a google didn't turn any up. ]

The Chickenheart strikes back
We all know Brad Vickers met an uncertain death at the hands of Nemesis near the beginning of Resident Evil 3. What we didn't know was that his corpse got back up a few hours later and began roaming the grounds of the Raccoon Police Department well after Jill Valentine's departure of her business. When Claire Redfield comes across Vickers whilst on her way to the station, he has become fully undead and no longer a rational thinking person. The only way to get Brad Vickers to show up at the beginning of Resident Evil 2 is to play on normal or higher and you can't pick up any items before reaching the police station courtyard. If you're able to get through all of that, then you are rewarded with the presence of Brad Vickers in the underground tunnel looping around the courtyard of the building. He takes more shots to take down and is quite faster, so be careful. Striking him down will reward you a new weapon and a few costume choices.

That mysterious old door that could never be opened
Alright, seriously guys. What's the deal with the locked door that can't be opened. It's jarred from the other side, but no other game ever goes into any explanation as to what's behind the door and why it's jammed. Has it always been like this, and the lazy janitor just never got around to fixing the passages around here?! Surely not. I wonder what the point of including a door that could never be opened is into the game. Maybe it will turn out to be Albert Wesker's long lost cryo-chamber room where he was conceived as an infant. Hahaha... No, really.

Agent Hunk and the Tofu
At this point in time, Hunk and Tofu aren't really an easter egg anymore. They've become more or less an underground cult hit within the Resident Evil community. But, think back to 1998 when nobody really knew anything about this. It would've been completely crazy to see that after you got an A rating on A and B games of either Claire or Leon that you just opened up a new campaign as an Umbrella mercenary. If that's not enough, beat a scenario six more times and then you will play as a walking, talking, sweating giant piece of tofu with an edge carved out of it. He can't carry guns and can only use the knife. Isn't this some crazy stuff? We would later find out more information about Hunk, but Tofu has been lost with the times. Perhaps one of these days he will make his remarkable comeback.

Nemesis lands on the body of Mr. X
At the end of Resident Evil 3, you are no less just roaming around looking at random things so there's a pretty big chance that you didn't even notice the large corpse of Mr. X lying in a pile of trash near the door. As a matter of fact, Nemesis plops down right on top of it! Despite all of this, I know speaking for myself that I completely missed this every single time that I had played the game. Maybe I'm just blind, but the background is a little too dark. Once you realize that the corpse is there, it's actually pretty easy to find after that. At any rate, we're not sure if this is the same Mr. X that haunts Leon and Claire in scenario B of Resident Evil 2, or if this was just a lonely wanderer roaming Raccoon City. At any rate, it gets "disposed" of eventually, if you know what I mean.

Barry Burton finally gets some respect.. sort of
After Resident Evil 1, you see Barry Burton diddling with his guns on the helicopter in the ending sequence. After that, we don't see him again until Resident Evil 3 when he picks Jill up in another helicopter at the very end of the game. Unfortunately, you have to do certain things during your play through to even get this special cut scene. So, we're wondering why all the hate on Barry? He was there to  help us through the Spencer Estate and he barely gets a mention between 2 and 5. If you count Gaiden, he's a co-main character but who really credits that, honestly? At the time of this writing, Burton has only appeared in three of the long line of Resident Evil games. The hell's up with that?

Albert Wesker zombie!
In the Sega Saturn version of Resident Evil 1, you can play a battle mode in which a timer ticks away as you pass each room as fast as you can. You'll come across numerous enemies from the game, but nothing will prepare you for the zombified version of Albert Wesker himself! It usually takes 3-5 magnum shots to take him down, but sometimes you'll get lucky and put him out of his misery with just one. This is a pretty interesting find, as it was brought to our attention. Seriously, who plays Resident Evil on the Sega Saturn anyways? I guess this easter egg just had it coming.

Leon S. Kennedy infected in Resident Evil: Gaiden
After you have destroyed the B.O.W. tyrant for the final time and the Starlight Cruiseship has sunk into the ocean, the three survivors rejoice as the mission has been completed. Barry and Lucia exchange some dialogue while Leon radios back to headquarters and informs them that the mission was a success. Seconds after this, the screen zooms in onto Kennedy's neck where you see a cut and green blood oozing from the wound. This was the trademark of the B.O.W. throughout the game, because it could mimick anybody it touched. Shortly after the game was released, it was announced as non-canon obviously, because Resident Evil 4 would come out several years later. Not very many people know about Kennedy's infection because the game didn't sell very good and is considered one of the worst in the entire series. BTW, what's up with his grandpa lips?
